Think You Can't Manifest? Let Me Convince You Otherwise

If You Have Ever Doubted Your Ability to Manifest...This Is For You

By the end of this post, I hope to lift the obstructing wool from your eyes and make you see exactly why YOU can have the life you dream of and accomplish anything you want

This is for all of the women who have been stuck in jobs they don’t love, for those of you who have a passion and a zest for something that you don’t feel is viable. Or perhaps you’ve even tried to manifest something in your life and failed. I know you’re feelings of frustration and hopelessness.

I have also looked at other successful women and thought, I must just be missing something they have. They can be successful, but I guess I cannot.

I see you and I know that confusion, but I am here to tell you that while those feelings are all very real and understandable, there’s no truth behind them. And it took me a long time to see that for myself. If you’re still struggling to see that- I’m hoping I can offer you some clarity.

Yoga is Magick

If you haven’t heard it before, the Sanskrit word “yoga” translates to “yoke” or “unite.” What are we uniting? Within ourselves, we are uniting the body, mind, and soul. Outside of ourselves, we are uniting with everyone and everything. And in actuality, we are all already united, it’s just that we’ve allowed all sorts of bullshit barriers to be put up and obstruct our connections. So what we are trying to do through different techniques in our practice, is to break those barriers down and return us to our true nature: pure unity and connection.

You might be thinking to yourself, “ok that’s an awful lot of philosophy for someone who just wants to know what she’s doing wrong when trying to manifest.”

While I realize yoga is full of a lottttttt of spiritual jargon and profound thought, I would say if you were going to think about anything philosophically in yoga, it’s this idea of unity.

Limitless Possibility To Manifest

Alright, let’s get just a little deeper. Because THIS is the teaching that changed my life. If we are all completely unified and connected, that means the barriers that are currently separating us, are nothing but temporary structures…as is any barrier in real life. Just because someone puts a fence up doesn’t mean it can’t be knocked down. It’s man-made and so are the barriers in our minds and spirits.

If in fact our boundaries are man-made, and our true nature is to exist without them, then anything that seems like an obstacle in your life right now, can be removed. And more importantly, once we remove those boundaries, anything is possible. Yes, literally anything. Our life is completely limitless.

Don’t get me wrong, I know that some boundaries are a little more structurally sound than others. But it doesn’t matter. Once you realize it CAN be removed, the work has begun.

The Big Problem Women Face When Trying to Accomplish Their Dreams

The issue so many of us have is that we view the boundaries we’ve experienced in life as permanent structures. When this is our mindset, many of us never even begin to consider how we might get past them. We just look up at the big wall and say, “Well guess that’s it.” *shrug *

All That Is Outside Is Also Within

Let’s think about this from another perspective. I took a course recently from one of my teachers, Prasad Rangnekar, on the five spiritual elements. He shared a Sanskrit verse from ancient scripture of the Yajurveda which says “Yat Pinde Tat Brahmande”, or :

“All that exists in the universe (Brahmanda) also exists in the Individual (Pinda).

Because we are made of everything that the universe is made up of and we have consciousness, we can create whatever we wish with those elements. We created the wall that sits on the Earth that now serves as a boundary. We create boundaries within ourselves. Yoga is the work-in, while Manifestation is the work-out.

If you think about a wall that is built into the Earth, which is removable? The wall? or the Earth? The Earth was already there and always has been. It can’t be removed (not fully). But you know what we can do with that Earth? Shift it around, shape it, push it, relocate it, plant things in it, and combine it with other elements. Really once we realize that we are working with the Earth, and not the wall, we start to open ourselves up to that limitless possibility. We can take the Earth and build more walls, or we can plant a beautiful garden.

The people who realize this are the ones who are successful in manifesting whatever they want.

This was the mindset that took me from being unable to manifest, to actually being able to create what I wanted in my life.

Regardless of each person’s circumstances and which obstacles they face, the determining factor of their success is that they KNOW they can create whatever they want out of the Earth. The wall may be there and it may take some effort to work around, dig out, or break down completely, but it can be removed. Once broken down, what does the wall become again? Earth. Waiting to be shaped into something else.

So if you have struggled in the past with creating and manifesting…I urge you to contemplate this bit of yoga philosophy. Meditate on it. Seriously consider it. Even take a look back at the failures you’ve experienced so far when trying to bring your dreams into reality. If you looked at the things that got in your way and viewed them as walls waiting to be broken down, rather than permanent structures, I wonder if you might start to imagine the ways in which you could overcome them.

How Can I Start To Reframe My Mindset?

Don’t forget, a wall is moveable, but the effort must still go into moving it. My go-to yoga practices for working to create the mindset of limitless possibility are all about Crown Chakra, or Sahasrara. Meditate on it, journal on it, visualize it. This is your connection to the divinity within you and the universe as a whole. Check out my 15 min practice to start nourishing that connection below:
